This problem generally occurs on Windows NT and 2000 when there is insufficient privileges to install this software. It has also been seen under Windows 98, but this is quite unusual. If you get this error message it could be because you do not have the rights to write to the Start menu or to makes other changes to the system. You should consult with your system administrator if this is the case.

If the problems persist then we will need further information  from you:

1. What operating system are you running (Windows 95/98/NT/2000)?
2. Is this an International version of Windows?
3. What is the path you installed the GRAMS software to (C:\PROGRAM  FILES\GALACTIC is the default path)?
4. What type of PC are you using (PC clone, Dell, Gateway, etc.)?
5. What programs are in your Startup folder?

- Windows 95/98
You can check this by clicking on the Start Menu button / Programs / Startup  and viewing what is listed.

- NT v4
You can check this by clicking on the Start Menu button / Programs / Startup.  Also check what software is loaded for "All Users" by RIGHT clicking on the  Start button and choosing Explore All Users. Open the Programs folder and then  the Startup folder. This Startup folder may contain additional programs  launching at startup.

- Windows 2000
You can check this by looking in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start  Menu\Programs\Startup and C:\Documents and Settings\[Login name]\Start  Menu\Programs\Startup folders

If you are having trouble finding your Startup folders, search for Startup on your C: drive.

Note that it is recommend that you remove all programs from your Startup folder prior to reinstalling if you are having trouble with the install process.
