Mathcad 13EA2 "Windows XP Service Pack 2 has not been installed" error message when installing Mathcad 15 on Windows 8. This error message is usually encountered when trying to install Mathcad 15 on a Windows 8 machine using an installer with an old datecode. To resolve this issue, please do the following: 1. Install the MSXML 4.0 SP 2 Microsoft Update This is a requirement for Mathcad 15 regardless of the datecode of the installation file. To download and install the update, please click on the following link and click to download msxml.msi. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&id=19662 2. Download and Install Mathcad Using an Installer with the Latest Datecode To do this, please go to http://www.adeptscience.co.uk/download/dldcat/33/0/All/Mathcad.html#1 and click on 'Mathcad 15 demo', which can be found under 'Utilities - Current Version'.
