This problem seems to occur when previous installations of Mathcad Prime 2.0 have been present on the system on which the new installation is occurring. The best way of resolving this issue is, during the installation, to change the file path to which Mathcad is installed. To do this:

1) Launch the Mathcad Prime 2.0 installation.

2) Proceed through the steps until you reach the 'Application Selection' page. At the top of this page there is a file path, which by default should be C:\Program Files\PTC.

3) Change the file path to C:\Program Files\PTC\Mathcad by clicking next to the text and typing in the additional text, and then click on the blue arrow to the right of the text box in order to apply the change.

4) Proceed with the installation by clicking 'Install'. You should now find that Mathcad Prime 2.0 installs and operates as expected.
