How do I emulate hardware using Instacal? I need to develop software but I do not have the Measurement Computing hardware on the development machine.

How do I emulate hardware using Instacal? I need to develop software but I do not have the Measurement Computing hardware on the development machine. Is there a virtual board emulator, Demo board for Instacal and Universal Library?

It is possible to install a "Demo board" in Instacal, which provides emulation of Analog Input and Digital I/O. The Demo board is installed by default, but if it has been removed you can install it as follows:

To install the demo board, run Instacal, click the "+" button on the left end of the toolbar, and select "Demo board" from the ISA section of the Board Selection List.

If you will be using any Analog input features, you need to double click the DEMO-BOARD in Instacal and set up the required waveform on each of the simulated channels.
