When I click Tools > Online search, EndNote crashes without warning.

This is known to happen in very rare instances when a connection file has been re-named outside of EndNote, such as someone manually re-naming a file using Finder on a Mac.

The solution is to replace the files in the Connections folder with a fresh set, downloadable from Thomson Reuters EndNote page:http://www.endnote.com/content/enconnections-terms.asp
