In most cases EndNote will automatically convert your libraries into the newer library format however occasionally there are issues when trying to open much older files in the more recent releases of the EndNote software.

If you experience any issues converting your libraries please email your library to support@adeptscience.co.uk making sure that you include your EndNote serial number and the version of the EndNote you are converting the library from and to.

NOTE: If your original library was created in EndNote 8 or above then your library consists of two parts: one file ending in .enl and one folder ending in .data. Please ensure that you send the .enl file as well as the .data folder.
The .data folder is located in the same place as the .enl file and will have the same name e.g. My EndNote Library.enl will be in the same place as the folder called My EndNote Library.data.

NOTE: Typically folders cannot be attached to emails, so you may have to 'compress' or 'zip' the folder prior to sending.
