Word 2007 crashes on exit saying "Unexpected Error" when EndNote is installed.

Note: It is recommended you make a backup of the registry before making any changes.
1. Exit all programs
2. Hold down the Windows Key and press R on your keyboard to bring up a 'Run' box.
3. Type regedit and press OK
4. Locate and delete the following subkey HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
5. close the registry editor, start EndNote, start Word, and verify the problem is solved.
