Sales Manager -Maths, Simulation and Control Role - Job Ref:

The Role:
- To develop and grow the sales of the company’s maths, simulation
and control product lines in commercial and academic accounts.
- To contribute
to the Companies overall annual sales and marketing plan.
This role includes the following responsibilities:
- Achieving agreed sales targets.
- Managing and servicing key
accounts throughout the UK and Ireland to maximise their usage
of maths, simulation and control products.
- Maintain sufficient
knowledge of products, competitors and the relevant marketplace
to effectively sell products.
- Identify new opportunities for
selling products, consultancy and training services.
- Proactive
prospecting for new accounts.
- Producing quotations and project
proposals as appropriate.
- Organise and participate in seminars,
exhibitions and product training.
- Record prospect and customer
interactions on CRM database.
- Provide sales forecasts.
- Helping to manage customer expectations
and escalating issues to suppliers if required.
Person Profile
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a senior technical
sales role selling into academic and commercial accounts.
- Engineering
background to degree level or similar.
- Knowledge of Mathcad,
Maple, Mathematica or Matlab.
- Excellent communication skills – both
written and verbal.
- Self motivated and able to work in a changing
environment.
- Customer focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft
Office software and Lotus Notes.
- Ability to use own initiative
and make decisions to improve the business.
Other Info:
- Willingness to travel - UK and some overseas travel
may be necessary.
