Adept are pleased to bring you news of ISI Researchsoft's latest bibliographic software release, EndNote 8. The new features make EndNote even simpler to use no matter what language you use, how technical your writing is or how demanding your reference management needs are. Feature highlights include...
• Unicode support to simplify working with multilingual text, maths symbols or other technical characters There'll be more information added to our website next week, but in the meantime you can take a sneak peak at the latest features by downloading our EndNote 8 leaflet: Find out what's new in EndNote 8. 2. Check out the RefViz demo CD in your EndNote, ProCite
or Reference Manager box
If you've bought EndNote, Reference Manager or ProCite software recently, we hope you've also had chance to try out the complimentary RefViz demo included in the box. RefViz can be used in conjunction with any of ISI Researchsoft's desktop bibliographic software to make searching very large quantities of references easier, faster and more productive.
And if you missed your demo CD, you can download a 30 day RefViz trial for Windows or Macintosh without charge from our website:
3. ProCite Biblio-Links II manual available for download
This comprehensive manual helps ProCite users
get to grips with Biblio-Links II: a configuration file editor. ProCite
uses configuration files to transfer records from information sources
into your ProCite databases. Although many configuration files are
supplied with ProCite, online information systems vary greatly in
what data they retrieve and how they save it to disk, so you typically
need a custom configuration file for each source. Biblio-Links II
lets users modify configuration files or create new ones. This manual
describes both Biblio-Links II for Windows and Biblio-Links II for
Macintosh.
4. Other new resources for ProCite users
For new ProCite users, we've got a Getting Started Guide that walks you through the basic features and common operations you may perform with ProCite 5.
Download the ProCite 5 Getting Started Guide without charge You'll also find a copy of the ProCite 5 User Manual ready to download. This makes obligatory reading for anyone who needs to know how to use ProCite to the fullest for developing their reference collection
5. New WriteNote brochure
Your chance to download a copy of our brand-new WriteNote brochure and find out more about ISI Researchsoft's web-based research and writing tool for undergraduates. It's the most cost-effective way to provide bibliographic tools and guidance on how to cite sources correctly to students across the campus.
6. Download a RefViz Guided Tour
This document is suitable for new users of RefViz, as well as people who wish to gain a better understanding about the application and advantages of using such text analysis and visualisation software before they buy. This tour provides an overview of RefViz, explaining how it works and why text analysis is so useful. It also delivers some user-specific tips to installing and getting started with RefViz.
