Designed for powerful and easy data acquisition, WorkBench PC for Windows
provides a wide choice of modules representing data inputs, outputs,
controls, displays and functions for data reduction, signal analysis,
mathematical and statistical routines. Setups are configured from a
pull-down menu of modules. The user simply selects from the comprehensive
range and connects the modules together on-screen in an easy to follow data flow
format, without programming. The software includes a built-in tutorial and a
context-sensitive Help system to shorten the learning curve.
Improved Module Handling and Design Tools
Version 3.0's Cut and Paste function allows individual or multiple modules to
be selected with the mouse or keyboard and then copied to another part of the
worksheet or to a Macro box. All settings for the pasted modules are retained,
which significantly decreases application creation time, especially for
large worksheets. A Screen Locking password is available to protect all
keyboard and mouse inputs once the application is started.
Using the optional VITool, up to 20 screen pages can be designed either within
WorkBench PC for Windows (drawing tools are included), or imported as bitmap
files. Display instruments (meters, charts etc), text and control buttons can
be integrated. The Action module can trigger the display of any one of these
pages, according to predefined test conditions.
Five New Modules Included
Five additional modules have been added to this new version of WorkBench PC for Windows.
A Counter/Timer Module allows spare Counter/Timers on any data acquisition
device to be used to count hi-speed digital pulses or to measure frequency
inputs.
The new Formula Interpreter lets users define a formula, or a series of
mathematical operations, based on a predefined set of standard mathematical
functions. This enables complex formulas, such as fifth-order polynomials,
to be created in a single module.
An RS232 output makes it possible to send data to and control external devices
through any available RS232 port. A fixed output command based on a trigger
level from the worksheet can be activated.
The two trigger modules from earlier versions have been combined into a Combi
Trigger. Trigger signals can be output to the worksheet based on pre/post
trigger settings, and a Slope or Level threshold.
The new Minimum/Maximum module allows output of multiple minimum/maximum
data points based on user hysteresis settings.
All Strawberry Tree Hardware Supported
WorkBench PC for Windows supports Strawberry Tree's full line of plug-in data
acquisition hardware as well as the DATAshuttle, DATAshuttle Ultra and
DATAshuttle Express family of external, portable A/D devices which are simply
connected to the parallel port of a laptop or desktop PC.
WorkBench PC for Windows Version 3.0 is available in a base edition, featuring
39 modules, and an Extended Edition with an additional 10 modules. The VITool is
an optional extra, and an optional Extensions ToolKit for user programmable
modules is also available.
The software and all Strawberry Tree data acquisition hardware is available in
