Newest Mathcad Version
Hits Macintosh Market

MathSoft has released Mathcad PLUS 6 for the Macintosh through UK distributor Adept Scientific. This major new release of its flagship product for technical professionals in education, industry and research demonstrates the commitment to the Macintosh platform of the world's leading developer of technical calculation software. Mathcad PLUS 6, a powerful, easy-to-use, integrated product, gives Mac users a live, interactive environment for solving real-world problems using comprehensive numeric and symbolic mathematical features.

This new version of Mathcad has been designed specifically for the Macintosh. It includes the impressive capabilities found in the market-leading Mathcad PLUS 6 for Windows, including 2-D and 3-D graphing and visualisation and tools for collaboration such as built-in internet and electronic mail connectivity. File compatibility with the Windows version means Mathcad worksheets can be shared between platforms.

Mathcad PLUS 6 for Macintosh also adds several new features making it the most recent version of Mathcad on the market today. These new Mathcad features include improved editing and formatting, simpler menu structures, the ability to create and embed animation within a Mathcad worksheet, and a new intelligent formatting tool, QuickPlot, that simplifies the direct graphing of formulas and expressions.

The software, a native Power Macintosh application, also provides support for 68030 and 68040 based systems. Upgrades to Mathcad PLUS 6 for Macintosh are available to registered users of earlier Macintosh or PC versions of Mathcad.
