GPIB Interfaces Under
£250 for ISA, PCI and
PCMCIA

ComputerBoards, Inc. has released through Adept Scientific a new range of high performance GPIB interfaces with a significant price advantage. The PCMCIA model, for example, at £249* is half the price of competing products. The range also includes boards for
PCI and ISA bus computers, and all models conform to the GPIB (IEEE-488.2) worldwide standard for instrumentation communication and control.

The new ComputerBoards GPIB IEEE-488.2 products enable any personal computer to be used as an instrumentation control and data acquisition system. Designed around the new industry-standard CB7210.2 GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) chip providing full talker/listener/controller capability, they allow up to 14 instruments to be connected to the PC. Software support is included for most programming languages under DOS, Windows 3.1x and Windows 95.

With data transfer rates up to 1 MByte/sec using REP-INSW block transfer and a 1024 word FIFO buffer, the boards have high performance specifications and are easy to install and configure (PCI and PCMCIA models are fully plug-and-play). Their highly competitive price maintains the ComputerBoards reputation for cost effective data acquisition solutions.

The new ComputerBoards GPIB products are supplied and supported in the UK by Adept Scientific plc, 6 Business Centre West, Avenue One, Letchworth, Herts. SG6 2HB; telephone (01462) 480055, fax (01462) 480213, email
