The Switch and Sense 8 product is a legacy version, which can still be supplied to existing users, but is not targeted for new applications. It has its own programming library, and does not use the general purpose Measurement Computing "Universal Library."
For new applications we recommend the new version of the Switch and Sense: The Switch and Sense 8/8. This product looks identical, and is functionally identical, but is supported by the Universal Library and the Universal Library for LabVIEW. Universal Library support is an advantage, because it means that the product is more likely to be compatible with other third party applications such as DASYLab and Matlab. If you are developing a bespoke application, using Universal Library also means that you can use alternative MCC hardware without having to fundamentally change your program.
