Maplesoft has developed a library of components, transmission subassemblies, and full powertrain examples that show the use of the components in various driveline applications. The purpose of this document is to provide some detailed description of this library, and show how the components can be used to very quickly develop complex transmission models and then test them with empirical loss data. The resulting greater insight into the overall efficiency of the system means more informed design decisions can be made to reduce power losses and improve fuel efficiency.
