Hatch Africa is an EPCM engineering, project and construction management consultancy that specialises in mineral processing, mining, energy and infrastructure. As part of a global collaborative design stragey, the company is striving towards interoperability and integration for its software tools. Johan Palm, a senior engineer in the Project Delivery Group, is driving the implementation of the Hatch Calculation Toolkit in South African offices. HatchTools is a global calculation library that uses Mathcad at its core to standardise calculation formats and integrate engineering design.
