What’s new in November with EndNote?

Thomson Reuters has been particularly busy this month; they’ve released a new X6.0.1 update for Windows and Mac to enhance and maintain the software’s comprehensive functionality; and caused a buzz with news of an introductory offer on the eagerly-anticipated EndNote iPad App due for launch January 2013!

The EndNote X6.0.1 Windows update delivers Windows 8 capability, new global formatting options, the ability to quickly locate missing PDFs and more. The patch also adds a new punctuation option in the style editor as featured in the EndNote X6 Mac release earlier this year.

The EndNote X6.0.1 Mac update provides improved EndNoteSync, PDF folder importing, Ibid handling for citations with Cited Pages and more!   Individual EndNote X6 users can access these free updates from the EndNote “Help” menu or by downloading them here. Site licence contacts can find both the Windows and Mac MSI installer for X6.0.1 here.

This month Thomson Reuters also confirmed that the EndNote iPad App will be launched in January 2013. This new tool will let you add, edit, group, copy and email citations on your iPad, then sync them to your EndNote Web account so you can build your reference library wherever you are. Anyone who registers their copy of EndNote X6 with Thomson Reuters by 1st January 2013 will be able to buy and download the EndNote iPad App for just $1 when it’s available. Find out more about the offer and register your software here.
